Adolescents/teenagers face many difficulties that can lead to feeling overwhelmed, confused, anxious, etc. These years contain lots of transitional issues (ex: physical/hormonal and emotional changes, having the desire to establish independence from their parents/caregivers, etc.) which can result in feelings such as confusion and helplessness.
Adolescents/teens may not have the needed coping skills to deal with these significant changes which may lead to your adolescent/teen engaging in risky behaviors or becoming depressed and/or anxious.

Due to confidentiality, we are not at liberty to discuss specific details about your child’s sessions. We can, however, share overall topics of discussion and any items that your child gives us verbal consent to share with you. If there is ever a physical safety concern, we will inform your child that we will be speaking with you, encourage them to be present for the conversation, and inform you immediately.

1. Contact us directly to schedule a free 10-15 minute phone call (link to complete the contact form is on the contact page).
2. After you speak with your child’s potential therapist and you both feel you would be a good fit for another, your child’s therapist will schedule a 60 minute intake appointment with yourself and any other parents/caregivers involved (without your child present) to discuss presenting concerns, the process of therapy, etc.
3. After the initial session, we will schedule your child's first session and will meet with you throughout the treatment process to discuss your child's progress towards therapeutic goals.
